Per sheet, or per ton
Per sheet fits foundations, miscellaneous concrete, and small revisions. Per ton fits a building cage where the sheet count is a poor proxy for the bars. After we see the drawings we say which one we are using, and why.
Pricing
Three ways to price the work. No rate card.
We do not publish dollar amounts. A number without your drawings is a guess, and a guess is how detailing disputes start. The quote says which model applies, what is included, and how many review cycles are in it.
Structural steel
Per ton
Shop and erection drawings are quoted per ton of steel detailed. Miscellaneous metals and a handful of connections are quoted per sheet when tonnage would distort the price. DSTV output is included only when the quote says so.
BIM and Civil 3D
Hourly
Revit modeling, clash coordination, and Civil 3D drafting are hourly. The quote states a cap before work starts, the LOD or the sheet list, and what happens if the design set changes underneath the model.
What changes the number
- How complete the design drawings are, and how many RFIs we expect to write before detailing.
- The standard and the software. A Revit cage and a DWG placing set are not the same hours.
- How many review cycles are included. The quote states the number. Further cycles are quoted again.
- Whether an NDA, a specific template, or a fabricator standard has to be adopted first.
