Structural steel detailing for US and Canadian fabricators. Modeled in Autodesk Advance Steel when that is your shop standard, or drafted to the format you already check.
The deliverable is a shop drawing the shop can cut from, an erection drawing the field can set from, and connection details that follow the criterion in the design documents. Where you need machine files, we export NC data in DSTV.
US projects are detailed with AISC 360 and the AISC Code of Standard Practice in mind. Canadian projects follow CISC and CSA S16.
What you receive
- Shop drawings for beams, columns, bracing, and the miscellaneous steel you include in the scope.
- Erection drawings with piece marks that match the shop set.
- Connection detailing to the engineer of record’s criterion. If a connection is not designed yet, we model a candidate for the engineer of record to review and approve.
- DSTV / NC files from the Advance Steel model when the quote includes them.
Advance Steel
Advance Steel is the tool we use when the fabricator wants a model, drawings, and NC from one file. If your checker wants DWG or PDF only, we still keep the model and issue the sheets you asked for. The RF-02 end-plate connection on the samples page is a reference model you can explode and inspect piece by piece.
